The 28th Hong Kong Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition - Merit Award

Members of our school’s STEAM Team, 3A LIN XINYI and 3C CHEN YUET YUNG, participated in The 28th Hong Kong Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition in March this year.

The competition was organised by Hong Kong New Generation Cultural Association Science Innovation Centre.

  

The team developed an innovative project entitled "Hollow Tiles Detector", which combines AI audio recognition with ROS robotic operating system technology. By using a robotic arm to tap tiles and a microphone to collect the sound of the tapping, it identifies hollow sounds, thereby improving the efficiency of old building inspections.

  

The project was awarded a Merit Award in the competition.
