    Biography

    Ms. Olivia CHENG Man-ngar, ancestral home in Hakka, graduated from Fung Kai No.1 Secondary School. She excelled at high jump, setting a Hong Kong record in 1978, before being crowned Miss Hong Kong and Miss Photogenic in 1979 and moving into the entertainment business.

    She is energetic and versatile. In the 1970’s, she learned Chinese Dance under the guidance of Ms. Lau So Kam (Former coach of FK1SS Dance Team) and received numerous awards in Inter-school Dance Competitions. In the 1980’s, she practiced pottery, portrait painting, monochrome photography, photographic development, marble sculpture, acting, Chinese painting, seal carving and vocal techniques.

    In the 1990’s, she set up two pottery workshops named Yung Nga Pottery(容雅窰) and Pinehill Pottery(松嶺窰). She taught the trainees with intellectual disabilities in the Pinehill Pottery for 10 years voluntarily to develop their artistic talents and pottery skills. Their works were also shown in the International Festival of Inclusive Arts.

    She is also very talented in golf. Being a representative of the Hong Kong Golf Team since 1995, she won various championships in local and overseas competitions. In 2000, she attained professional qualification in the United States and became a golf coach.
